Olde America Antiques evolved into a fine art printing company in 1998. We are one of the first companies to utilize an 8-color giclee printer to print on cloth. This is a recent development and represents an important advancement in the printing industry. The technology for large-format giclee printing on cloth was not available until the spring of 2006. Giclee (zhee-CLAY) printing is a recently developed printing process that utilizes high resolution digital scanning and new, sophisticated inkjet technology to reproduce detailed, accurate images and artwork. The inks used are archival quality, resulting in colors that are brighter and longer lasting than prints made by traditional printing methods.

Traditional prints on cloth are iron-on transfers which are brittle and hard to sew. Our quilt blocks ARE NOT TRANSFERS. The cloth we use is 100% cotton sateen that is soft and easy to sew. Our quilt blocks are colorfast; we recommend hand washing in cold water using a neutral ph detergent, such as Ivory. We include a pattern for a wall hanging in our national park sets of 4 - 4x6 inch quilt blocks. We also offer a 6"x9" quilt block with a pattern for a decorative pillowcase.

If you have any questions or want additional ideas on how to use our quilt blocks please Send us an email .
